Atacama Large Millimetre Array Project (ALMA)
An array with a collecting area of up to 10,000 square meters. With baselines foreseen to extend to 10 Km, the angular resolution provided by the new instrument will be that of a diffraction limited 4m optical telescope.
Ventspils International Radio Astronomy Center (VIRAC)
The main purpose is to take part in observations at high angular resolution of faint sources of cosmic natural and artificial radiation. Overview, photographs, staff, papers, news, and related links. In Latvia.
Submillimeter Array (SMA)
An eight element submillimeter interferometer being constructed on the summit of Mauna Kea in Hawaii.
Very Large Array (VLA)
A 36-km diameter radio telescope consisting of 27 individual dishes arranged in a Y shape. Featured in the films 2001 and Contact (the latter half).
