The Purpose of this page is to show the flaws of the pseudo-scientific publications that try to turn the Bermuda Triangle into some mystical place. Current possible theories involve the Lost Civilization of Atlantis, a Warp in the Space/Time Continuum, a Beacon for UFOs, an Intermittent Black Hole, Giant Gas Bubbles and God only knows what else.

Since so much of the far-fetched material I had investigated had turned out to have some basis in reality, however indirect, I now decided to investigate the story that the area of the Bahamas is the site of the (not completely sunken) continent of Atlantis.

On January 8, 1962, a KB-50 aerial tanker disappeared over the Triangle. The press claimed the plane crashed headlong into the sea, but later reports disproved the media's account. No single piece of evidence was found. This wasn't the first spooky disappearance. The craft and crew of Flight 19 in 1945 and the NC-16002 in 1948 shared similar fates.

The Avengers total disappearance would be owing to the rough seas at the time and they were well known to be incredibly heavy. Known through the Navy as "Iron birds" they weighed 14,000 pounds empty. After impact they would of immediately sunk to the bottom; any debris remaining would of been swallowed up by the violent ocean at that time, leaving no trace of themselves to be found anywhere by anyone.

In 1970, Dr. Ray Brown, a naturopathic practitioner from Mesa, Arizona, went scuba diving with some friends near the Bari Islands in the Bahamas, close to a popular area known as the Tongue of the Ocean. During one of his dives, Brown became separated from his friends and while searching for them he was startled when he came across a strange pyramid shape silhouetted against the aquamarine light.
