Rumors that the alleged remains of the Chupacabra have been found in Nicaragua are true, however it must be emphasized that the creature is thought to be the remains of the Chupacabra and may turn out to be something else entirely.

Named because of the way it sucked all the blood from Puerto Rican goats, the Chupacabra has been leaving fear in its tracks for many years now. First spotted in Puerto Rico in 1994, the Chupacabra has since migrated off the island and has recently been spotted in many locations including South America as well as the US. Although it was named because of its choice of goat-blood as a meal, the Chupacabra has reportedly attacked and devoured the blood of a wide variety of animals including dogs and sheep. The chupacabra ("goat sucker") is an animal said to be unknown to science and systemically killing animals in places like Puerto Rico and Mexico. The creature's name originated with the discovery of some dead goats in Puerto Rico with puncture wounds in their necks and their blood allegedly drained. According to UFO Magazine (March/April 1996) there have been more than 2,000 reported cases of animal mutilations in Puerto Rico in the last two years attributed to the chupacabra.

Chupacabra or the Goatsucker was a monster that used to kill small animals by sucking their blood. Goatsucker like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster were seen by few. But unlike Bigfoot and the monster at Loch Ness the Goatsucker seems to have vanished off the face of the earth.

Chupacabras are described as about four feet tall when standing errect, have huge red elongated eyes, grey skin that is part fur and part feathers, short arms with claws, legs like a kangaroo, and a line of sharp spikes down the middle of it's back. They are supposedly very powerful animals. Some report that the chupakabras have wings and can fly.

Last week saw another rash of Chupacabra attacks in Chile. Eyewitnesses also sighted two weird humanoid creatures, said to be Chupacabras, near the city of Concepcion, located 300 kilometers (180 miles) south of Santiago de Chile, the national capital. The new round of Chupacabra incidents began Wednesday, April 12, 2000 in the small town of Tucapel, in Bio Bio province just east of Concepcion. Witnesses reported that "a large bunch of dried brambles were crushed by a strange luminous phenomenon."
