Town turns chupacabra or goatsucker myth into benefit ZAPATA (AP) -- Think a festival to round up rattlesnakes is a little weird? You ain't heard nothing yet. This Texas border town is having a daylong celebration this weekend in honor of a mythical goatsucker. That's right, a goatsucker. "It's a festival like any other festival, but a little different," said Kate McVey, the mastermind of Zapata's first Chupacabras Festival. With the festival, the town hopes to suck all the benefit it can out of the chupacabra phenomenon sweeping Latin America and the U.S.-Mexico border.
