Arcologies on the Moon popular
If an ancient alien civilization built a city on Mars, Hoagland reasoned, why not on the moon and on Earth itself! Looking at photos taken during the lunar missions, including those taken during the Apollo lunar manned landings, he discovered several anomalies. Upon further investigation, he has found that there are immense "crystalline" cities on the moon that are even more advanced than the Cydonia buildings and a small, select group of people within NASA have probably known about them from the beginning of the space program!

The objective of this investigation is to obtain supporting evidence that will either confirm or refute the claims made by Richard C. Hoagland, Dr. Mark Carlotto, the study group calling itself VGL, and others with regard to the apparent presence of ancient and presumably extraterrestrial artifacts on the Moon.
A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To the Moon popular
Gives clues and reasons as to why we didn't go to the moon. Also tells about the great moon hoax of 1835.

On June 17, 1997, an unidentified object passed across Joe Pitonzo's field of view as he observed the Moon via his 8" SCT (Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope). The following is a diagram and a detailed testimonial of Pitonzo's lunar observation as communicated to Francis Ridge, Coordinator of The Lunascan Project.

Architectural Anomalies - Moon popular

The Moon, like Mars, has many architectural anomalies. There are tons of photos, on the web, which appear to show architectural oddities on the Moon, including the NASA and JPL sites.
Sometimes a photo surfaces, which isn't from one of the mainstream sites. The following is just such a photo and can be found at, FTP directory /pub/images/apollo/as15/ at ftp

Anomalies Moon Images
These images are public domain, and have been gathered from FTP sites, Newsgroups, and searches.
But if you would like to see a very well maintained and up to date site we suggest http://www.lunaranomalies.com/, this is perhaps the best resource on Lunar/Mars Anomalies on the net. They go beyond simply showing the pictures, they provide in depth analysis of the images.
Astronomy Anomalies by Subjects popular

The Sourcebooks, Handbooks and Catalogs are compiled from 40,000 articles from the scientific literature, the results of a 25-year search through more than 12,000 volumes of scientific journals, including the complete files of Nature, Science, Icarus, Weather, etc. The Sourcebook Project is compiling an objective, unsensationalized catalog of anomalous phenomena.
Moon Anomalies
This site is dedicated to the examination of unusual features on the surface of the
Moon, with the possibility in mind that some of them might be artificial. Available at
this site are images from Lunar Orbiter, Apollo and Clementine spacecraft. We will,
where possible, provide supporting data for the images and spacecraft, and links to
the appropriate web sites for further information.
Lessons of the "Fake Moon Flight" Myth
http://www.csicop.org/si/2003-03/commentary.html
Depending on the opinion polls, there's a core of Apollo moon flight disbelievers within the United States--perhaps 10 percent of the population, and up to twice as large in specific demographic groups. Overseas the results are similar, fanned by local attitudes toward the U.S. in general and technology in particular. Some religious fundamentalists--Hare Krishna cultists and some extreme Islamic mullahs, for example--declare the theological impossibility of human trips to other worlds in space.

Evidence from the early space probes that Lunar gravitational gradient calculations were possibly flawed:
The United States and the Soviet Union started to send probes to the Moon in the late fifties. Most of these initial probes met with miserable failure. It is posited here that the reason for these early failures were due to a miscalculation of the lunar gravitational gradient.
The Lunascan Project
http://www.astrosurf.com/lunascan/
The Lunascan Project is an Earth-Based Telescopic Imaging program using live CCD imaging technology to observe, document, and record LTPs (Lunar Transient Phenomena). The Lunascan Project website directories house some of the best lunar image links from around the world.

STRANGE MOON FACTS
http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Hollow/8827/moonfacts.html
1. Moon’s Age: The moon is far older than previously expected. Maybe even older than the Earth or the Sun. The oldest age for the Earth is estimated to be 4.6 billion years old; moon rocks were dated at 5.3 billion years old, and the dust upon which they were resting was at least another billion years older.
2. Rock’s Origin: The chemical composition of the dust upon which the rocks sat differed remarkably from the rocks themselves, contrary to accepted theories that the dust resulted from weathering and breakup of the rocks themselves. The rocks had to have come from somewhere else.

The Dark Moon Scenario
http://www.shout.net/~bigred/DarkMoon.htm
(Conspiracy Nation, 8/9/03) -- Authors Mary Bennett and David S. Percy offer what they term the "dark moon scenario" as the most likely explanation behind NASA's alleged journey to the moon.
In their book, Dark Moon, Bennett and Percy admit that yes, NASA went to the moon, "but neither in the manner that NASA have claimed as set out in the historical record, nor with the individuals named in the historical record." (emphasis added)
Before delving into Bennett and Percy's explanation of what actually happened, here are some brief moon anomalies noted by Charles Fort (1874-1932) in his book, New Lands.
