NASA Academy

NASA's premier leadership training program. Selected college students work on-site with Center researchers, visit other NASA Centers and NASA Headquarters, and meet aerospace business leaders during a 10-week session designed to build leadership skills and give the students a glimpse of the aerospace industry as a whole. There are Academies at four NASA Centers.

NASA Astrobiology Academy 2001

A unique summer institute of higher learning whose goal is to help guide future leaders of the U.S. Space Program by giving them a glimpse of how the whole system works. The Academy is an intense summer experience at Ames Research Center at Moffett Field in California.
NASA Central Operation of Resources for Educators (CORE)
A national distribution center for NASA's audiovisual educational materials. For a minimal fee, NASA CORE will provide educators unable to visit one of the NASA Educator Resource Centers with materials through its mail order service.
NASA Classroom of the Future Program
The COTF at Wheeling Jesuit University develops and conducts research on technology-based learning materials that challenge students to solve problems by using datasets and other information resources provided by the four strategic enterprises of NASA: Aero-Space Technology, Human Exploration and Development of Space, Earth Science Enterprise, and Space Science.

An award-winning series of instructional programs designed to enhance the teaching of math, science and technology concepts in grades 5-8; establishes the "connection" between the mathematics, science, and technology concepts taught in the classroom and NASA research.

Provides space Earth observation resources for educators.
NASA Educational Workshops
NASA-funded summer workshops for K-12 teachers. Educators will be provided with an opportunity to observe NASA's state-of-the-art research and development through direct interaction with NASA scientists, engineers, technicians, and educational specialists at a NASA Field Center. Travel, housing, and meal expenses are provided by NASA. Graduate credit is available. The two-week workshops occur during mid-June through mid-August.
