Error 6175: QuickBooks is trying to access the company file but the database server is not responding. This happens when you try to host multi-user access for your company file.
Reason for its appearance:
• Firewall setting, security.
• Content blockers (security software).
• Other technical issues, such as low disk space, un-updated system updates.
• Demanding status of the server holding the company file.
• Internet connection issues.

Solutions for resolving the QuickBooks Error 6175:

Although, simply waiting or restarting the computer will naturally reinstate normal operations. However, if that doesn’t happen, you might need one of the advanced resolutions to rectify it.

Solution 1: Assure that QuickBooks database manager server is properly installed on your computer-

• Confirm that QuickBooks is installed on your server computer.
• Once you are done with it, go to the Start menu and search for the database and click on the
QuickBooks Database Server Manager option
• Click on Start Scan.
• When the scan is finished, check if you can open it on your computer/machine without the 6175
• If not move on to the other set of solution.

Solution 2: Trying out advanced solutions:

Try out these below mentioned advanced solutions if the issue persists even after a server restart:
Confirm that QuickBooks Data Service User has an access to be used with Administrator rights.

• Verify that the executables –

o QuickBooksUpdate.exe
o QuickBooksDBMgr.exe
o QuickBooksDBMgrN.exe
have access rights or are whitelisted for any firewall or system security settings.

• Once you’ve verified the above settings, restart the computer and then try accessing the company file once more. If it does not then move on to the next solution
