I know... I still have the pre-surgery paperwork from Kaiser, showing my blood type, so that's how I know what it's shown to be.

Now, if they happened to get mine mixed up with someone else's -- which has been known to happen from time to time -- then it could be incorrect, and if THAT is true, then I guess I can be glad I didn't need a transfusion when I underwent surgery.

My present insurance won't pay for blood typing unless I am suspected to need a transfusion, but if the chance to have it re-typed ever comes up, I intend to have it done so I can be absolutely sure.

About 10 yrs. ago I went thru testing to donate a kidney. One of the tests that had to be done was a scan to check my kidney function,size,etc...My kidneys were slightly larger that average and all my veins and vessels went in front of my organs instead of in back. The Drs, told me at the time that this was unusual but not rare. I also had a lot of blood work done( Drs. told me that my tests needed to be re-run,because my blood had odd"hang-ons",that it needed to be sent out to a Lab that specialised in these"hang-ons". They also ask me when I had recieved my transfusion(never have had one).......anyway, the tests showed that we were a very good match for being non related.....within 1 1/2 hrs of recieving my kidney, she rejected it. The Drs could not understand how this happend so fast, and all the anti-rejection drugs, and other things they could do failed....A month later we were told that we were never a match and the transplant should have never taken place...I'm A-

This could be something, then again it could not.

I have lousy sentence structure, so please forgive me.

Well, we know the medical community isn't perfect... sorry you lost a kidney for naught! That's got to be a tremendous disappointment, and waste of a good organ. But you are a courageous person for being willing to donate one of yours. I commend you!

So this is the hybrids board then.... I have a similar anomalous birth story in addition to phenomena that's suggestive of unexplainable...

throughout childhood. In utero, one imagines, in vitro/utero experimentation - haven't ruled out star people.

Frankly, we're all hybrids. A hybrid is not God, not an animal - a hybrid.
