Dreaming is a real amazing experience..but also pretty strange when you think about.

I've had times when pretty much as soon as i've fell off to sleep i'll be in the dream state until morning. Constant dreaming all night..no breaks. Though what is stange is how time seems to pass in the dream state..doesn't feel like 8 hours feels more like 8 minutes..even though it was actually 8 hours.

Peace, Caper.

Science also tells us we can't wake up and then "go back" to the same dream and pick up where we left off, but I do it often.

When we fall asleep for the second time to rejoin our dream that we left, are we slipping through time to another era, (forward or backward), and as we do so, are our other selves doing the same thing, changing places.
So here I am today, at this very second writing to all of you, but when I went to sleep last night, did I go into another dimension, and the people I wrote to yesterday are in another dimension.

Are you sure you are in the same dimension as yesterday.
Did you start yeaterday in dimension Bravo, and wake today in Dimension Charlie.

Jeff

Just my opinion that you aren't in a different dimension when you are sleeping, or if you are, it is in the sleep state that you dream, and all of it is happening because of a dream.

A time slip on the other hand, in my experience, happens simutaneously, as the dream is going on, you physically either enter another dimension, or while you are awake, experience a time slip in 'real time'. There is nothing sleep has to do with a time slip, other than to allow you the portal. It does not occur during dream stages, is not disconnected in any way.

I have been wide awake, but have no recall of where I'd been, and often 'awoke' in real time, having spent time in both places at the same time, and no idea how I got to the point in time I was when I 'came to' during the day. Both being in a different place, and being in a place where I was fully awake, is not a dream.

We have to get past time slips as being dreams, they aren't dreams.

I think that what you see and experience in dreams could be what is happening in another dimension..though it varies, but i don't think you actually enter another dimension as such, but it is possible to connect with it.

A time slip is not a dream..you can travel through time in a dream, but a physical slip in reality is very different from a dream.

When we fall off to sleep i think we all enter a different state..an altered one. And some states can be different from others depending on what you're experiencing. Dreams..nightmares..sleep paralysis..sleep walking..talking in your sleep..speaking fluent foreign languages that you have never learnt.

We all enter the sleep state and subsequently another state from there on..depending on what you're experiencing.

Peace, Caper.

I think that it is possible to enter another reality, either forward or backward, without being in a dream sleep.

I've had some fantastic dreams, but they are distinct from a time slip in many ways.

I think there is much to be learned from dream states and reaching other states from that, however, when time slips occur in real time, outside of a dream state entirely, it is a different and distinct experience.

Maybe it is more like the meditative state some monks can achieve with their higher power, but they are still, although not dreaming, awake and aware of their conscious experience.

I'm far from being an expert, and remain more frustrated than informed of how time slips happen. All I really know is they do.

Have you every blown bubbles, and watched as they sometimes "bump" and often stick together? THAT'S how time slips (I believe) happen. And then the bubbles burst, and they're gone...

I don't think it is that simple sometimes.

I have directed a time slip, where I was in control of going back as far as I wanted to go. That experience was directed and controlled by me, and I deliberately waited as I went back, in order to view the surroundings.

What stopped the experience was my husband knocking on the door of my truck.

I agree with you on that, Tim.

Dreaming and time slips are very different things as it goes..but i believe it's possible for them to connect at times. As with everything, i believe we're all connected.

Yes, ineed it is frustrating Tim.I believe if we can ever find the answers to such things as dreams..time slips..visions..etc. We may then get closer to answering the "why"..why it all happens, what is the reason for it all. I'm certain there's a reason for it all..i just don't know what that is yet.

And meditating is always a good one for trying to raise your consciousness. :)

Wow! I really like that theory Tweaked..and i think that could be at times how some slips occur, but reading Timbit's experiences with slips i think hers are probably occuring through some other means.

I'm pretty sure that there are multiple ways one can have a time slip..enter an altered state of consciousness..have a vision, etc.

Peace, Caper.
