Yikes! That's enough to turn anyone claustrophobic.

Oh, caper... believe me, I know! Once, several years ago, 3 friends and I were trapped in a SHORT elevator (3 floors was all it traveled). To our surprise and great chagrin, when we picked up the emergency phone, it was answered by an operator in NEW JERSEY... and we were 1 block west of the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA! It took an hour and 40 minutes for everything to go through the proper channels so someone from Maintenance at our location could pry open the doors and lower a short ladder so we could all crawl up and out.

That sounds completely insane Tweaked.

It reminds me of the people who keep phoning here and asking to speak to the man of the house.....I always tell them he's not here and hang up.

Sounds like phoning dell and you end up talking to someone in northern India who has yet to complete their English course.

But an emergency phone connected to the other side of the continent is not what I would call a safety feature.

That sounds terryfing, Tweaked.

I don't like elevators at the best of times..especially when too many people crowd in one and you have no room to move.

And yes David..tell me about Dell's call centres..i once had someone at Dell india over the phone try to walk me through how to fix my computer...needless to say, it didn't go too well.

Peace, Caper.

   Almost everyone who has a PC instead of an Apple has suffered through dramas like that! Thankfully, Apple Products still have LIVE PEOPLE who can answer your questions.

Back to the elevators for a minute... The BEST way to ever be stuck in one, I'm guessing, would be in one of those glass ones; at least there's a chance someone would look UP and see me frantically beating on the glass, screaming, "GET ME OUTTA HERE!"

Ah..i hear so many good things about apple computers..next time i get a new one, it'll have to be an apple i think and especially if i can talk to actual humans when it goes wrong. ;)

And yes Tweaked i reckon the glass elevator would be the best one to get stuck in.

If there is a best one to get stuck in...

Peace, Caper.
