Very well said Henk.

The church has nothing to do with love and compassion, the church is void of spiritual peace.

Amen to that.

I can't even bring myself to post on the newest scandal involving 15,000 children abused by priests.

This really, really pisses me off. I feel so frustrated and angry about the latest sexual abuse scandals within the Catholic church, in particular the connections and coverup to the pope himself. Disgusted.

You might be interested to know that David Icke is tackling this issue and a few others as well.

It would appear the pope is in the hot seat.

I picture some mother pushing her son to become a priest, do it for your mother so she can find some peace in heaven.

But mother I don't want to be a priest....hush, hush now, I'll have no of that talk in my house.

You'll be a priest and do gods work and heaven will smile on your mother evermore.

And we wonder what went wrong.

There is so much of this... The Catholic Church, the FLDS (in particular!) and other sects of religious organizations. Even if we could close down all the churches, we could never eradicate faith and practice, though; Russia tried that, and it didn't even work for them! I don't know what the answer is; I just know the hearts of these perpetrators are dark.

I have one answer. The United Nations should have a full and complete investigation into the business of the Catholic Church; the biggest, and most far reaching morally bankrupt religious organization on earth.

I also have a second answer. If the man in the white beanie is on the hot seat now, bring his little ass over to my place and I'll knock some sense into him.

You'd HAVE to! The bastard never bothered to learn enough English... or, at least, so we're told.

Today the pope referred to the allegations against him as "Petty Gossip"

He said god would give him strength to deflect this petty gossip.

A bit arrogant I would say...I hardly think petty gossip fits the bill.

All Religious Leaders, and most of their faithful followers, consider themselves to be better than the rest of us. I know... I escaped from that b.s. more than 55 years ago.
