If we consider the possibility that the written recordings of Jesus during his time on earth were interpretations, translated many times over hundreds of years, is it not also possible that other interpretations could be, in fact, more accurate?

I have always wondered what writtings have been lost to translation - as it is - everyone intreprets the bible differently - and I guess that depends on which version you read -

Interesting web site.

I feel the Vatican has an interest in something like this to be kept secret. All these years telling people that Jesus gave his life for us, on the cross. It would definetly change the way people think about the vatican and religion. Money can buy silence... and to the Vatican Silence is golden.

If I knew a secret.... I don't know if I would want to upset and cause dispair to such a huge bunch of humans.... how would we become? Would it change us for the better or for the worse.

Like I say... I believe in a Higher Being called God and I believe mankind made the church.

It is hard to separate the belief in God, or a higher being, or whatever you want to call it, without a church attached to it, in order to explain it.

We trust all those who have the highest respect and show the greatest amount of truth to its congregation or community. Much like the UFO stance, even when the truth is there, it cannot be accepted because an authoritative voice does not allow us to break free.

It is a scary place to question all that we think to be true. Everything. ALL of it. Once that point is passed, there is no return, ever.

Do we know if Michael Baigent has a belief in God/religion?

There are people that try too hard to prove God exists and doesn't exist. Is he questioning his own faith? Some people do journey through life to answer all their questions. Is he one of these people or is he trying to destroy religion or is he trying to re-invent religion? Is it a money making exercise? He makes money out of his book... he is taking the author Dan Brown from the Da Vinci Code to court. What is his real purpose? I'd like to see these papers that he claims to have seen for a start.

We all know the Vatican keeps secrets.... look at the publicity they receive at times. If it's not in the Vaticans interest for the public to know, I feel that they do prefer to keep it under their hat.
