Very true. And also the fact that they cannot identify the metal (not a known composition from earth) it is conveniently stated as 'unknown', or 'undetermined' which leaves most thinking that the sample was contaminated, or too small to do analysis, or too degraded to be conclusively stated. Mincing words is easy when you don't have a lab full of metal from other planets by which to compare as 'known' to determine its origin and/or composition.

I think that with the most sophisticated technology in the world available to do an x-ray on a flea, they can indeed at least suggest that it is not from this earth, but professional reputations are on the line, and many researchers can't afford to lose funding by going out on a limb. Stating the truth does not serve their needs.

Proof always seems to be cut off at the very pass by those we distrust the most. It is a double edged sword to need official answers by the very people that supress the truth in the first place.
