Bisphenol A (BPA) is an industrial chemical widely used in common plastic products, such as baby bottles, children’s toys, and the linings of most food and beverage cans. Many scientific studies—including the largest study of BPA ever conducted on humans—have found links between BPA and serious health problems, from heart disease, diabetes and liver abnormalities in adults to developmental problems in the brains and hormonal systems of children.

Yes, the good old days. Products in glass bottles like Coke and milk. Now everything is in plastic. The food is even in plastic. The wooden toys have been taken over by plastic. Plastic, plastic, plastic. It must be having some affect on us. At least wine is still in glass bottles.

I still buy all my water in glass bottles. I never drink tap water. I haven' drunk tap water in over 25 years.

We put all our tap water used for drinking and cooking through a water purifier before using. We use a lot of water. The children drink about 1litre of water a day. They think cordial and soft drink is a treat. :)

There is a ban in BPA in Canada now, that started out on just plastic baby bottles, but has, as far as I know, been included in a number of products.

I don't know the extent of the health problems that, in years to come, will have us wishing we had done this 25 years ago.

I was fortunate enough to be able to by pass the baby bottle with my 2 children. We went from me feeding them to sip-a-cups.

Mind you, I never fed my children in public, there are lot's of perverts around the place. Thank goodness they supply mother/children rooms. :)
