http://gokill.com/2009/09/06/neil-armstrong-convinced-moon-landing-was-faked/

I realize all to well that anyone can say or write anything, these days, and some percentage of the population will then forever believe it's true... But when I received this, today, I just had to post it. I wish I knew how to get in contact with Mr. Armstrong, and find out if he REALLY said this.

-----------

LEBANON, OHIO—Apollo 11 mission commander and famed astronaut Neil Armstrong shocked reporters at a press conference Monday, announcing he had been convinced that his historic first step on the moon was part of an elaborate hoax orchestrated by the United States government.

According to Armstrong, he was forced to reconsider every single detail of the monumental journey after watching a few persuasive YouTube videos, and reading several blog posts on conspiracy theorist Ralph Coleman’s website, OmissionControl.org.

“It only took a few hastily written paragraphs published by this passionate denier of mankind’s so-called ‘greatest technological achievement’ for me to realize I had been living a lie, ” said a visibly emotional Armstrong, addressing reporters at his home. “It has become painfully clear to me that on July 20, 1969, the Lunar Module under the control of my crew did not in fact travel 250,000 miles over eight days, touch down on the moon, and perform various experiments, ushering in a new era for humanity. Instead, the entire thing was filmed on a soundstage, most likely in New Mexico.”

MORE at the link.

Is this article for real, or what?
When it comes to the internet, I don't know if something is real, or if somebody is just making up a story.
And if it is real, why did it take Neil Armstron 40 years to tell his side of the story?
I'm a wee bit suspicious here.

Believe me, I have NO IDEA. I find it interesting that he would have been allowed to keep a "collection of moon rocks," though... the ones brought back went through rigorous decontamination. THAT comment might be the first clue that this is a fake, but I really don't know.

The Onion?

The only onion I know is the one that brings tears to my eyes when I peel it.

The Weekly World News and The Inquirer are/were BOTH notorious for "made-up stories"... that's why when they DID (first) publish 'scoops' that later on proved to be absolutely true, everyone was totally baffled.

I never say never... I just look at what I read, and if it's interesting enough, I put it up for all of you to see. And, then... IF someday some of those totally sounding bullcrap things are proved to be TRUE, I don't feel badly that I saw it and let the rest of you see it, too.

If I had to have proof that every UFO Sighting or Crop Circle I've linked you to were totally provable, we wouldn't have much of an interesting forum. And I wouldn't have shared any of my experiences with all of you, because I can't PROVE any single one of them.

Not sure what you're saying with your post.

Care to add anything else?
