Very interesting.

That they would be depicted as 'flying', makes sense as their only personal reference to that would be what naturally flew in the skies then.

I am more and more comfortable with the fact that these angels, were in fact, ET. It really does fit doesn't it.

Yes, Tim, it fits..it fits more than anything else. Makes absolute sense when you've looked into it.

Good point on the natural flying, Tim. Maybe thats why we see Birds heads along with the wings on these beings? Trying to point out these people had the power of a bird...to take flight.

This is intersting stuff. :)

There is much evidence for UFO's and ET's in the bible and many other religious texts, but the theory is seen as the ulitmate taboo and consequently is either ignored, ridiculed or denied by both organised religon and Darwinists.

As it would be shattering for both groups.

Jesus was an alien? You must be mad.. ;)

Peace, Caper.

Well, I don't buy much of the origins on man. And to realize that that is all there is to explaining our species, all of it comes into question.

I'm not doing Christmas anymore. Not being a 'Christian', and not buying into the alternate, which is buy gifts and do the retail/Santa thing, I'm just not doing it.

I love the peace of the season, and the fact that people are generally nicer to eachother, but a walk through my neighbourhood to the beach with my dog on Christmas eve is a far more spiritual experience for me than the alternatives.

Maybe when the kids are home, I'll do up the decorations one more time. But otherwise, I'm done with all of it.

What is a Christian?

What does Santa have to do with anything? He sounds like a drunken herdsman intent on waking everyone in town.

If someone asked me if I was a Christian I would and do say yes, but that means something different to everyone, which means there is no real meaning in general terms.

Angels do not have feathers.......but they can float in the air and walk on water, the wings are symbolic.

The Darwin crowd are a lost cause....but persistent.

A 'Christian', to me, is someone who believes in a traiditonal God, in a mainstream religion like Catholicism, or Anglican etc. Most commonly associated with anyway, and that's what I meant.

And Christmas, is a religious holiday, with all the trappings of the religion, IF you are a Christian, right?

All I'm saying is that I do not belive in organized religion of any stripe, nor do I buy the trappings contained within them, nor would I ever call myself a Christian, and be associated with any of it.

And somehow, Santa is now the trappings of extreme overindulgence, that brings out the very worst in people. Giving means going into debt. Going into debt for Santa just doesn't make sense to me. But, it does make sense to the malls, retailers and economies of the world.

I am so looking forward to none of it.

At our house we have not done the Christmas thing for a couple of years, but we have had some really good times with friends and loved ones, while sharing some yummy treats.

Labels are misleading and I don't like being labeled.

Peace and love are the most important elements of our human existence and should be fostered with patience and tolerance, always.

In regard to our origins..they don't let us know the truth/full truth about most things and definitely not the important stuff.

So thinking that they would let us know the truth about origins is a crazy thought when you think about it.

I do love the peace of the season too and how people actually say hello to each other and wish each other well.
I don't do the Traditionl Christmas as such.. we have family & friends round and enjoy each others company. Oh and some good food.. ;) And once in a while and decorate the house and a nice tree.

I like the weather around that time of the year as well..i love the snow.

The comment about Santa being a drunken herdsman made me laugh, David. I had an image in my head of Santa being pulled over by the police and breathalysed. All that sherry he's been drinking..wounldn't look too good.
