Hello all....Want to share something which happened yesterday evening,22nd dec 2007.

Was standing in my balcony at about 6:30pm to 6:50pm.Was watching how the Mars was glowing red and suddenly i saw a white bright light and in the size of a tennis ball and whitish glow all over it and looked like it wanted me to notice and disappeared in about 5 seconds on the east side.

Maybe after 5 mins or so i was watching on the west side. This same thing reappeared and looked like it wanted me to notice it and disappeared again after 5 seconds.
I think i'm seeing activities like this everyday and would like to get a good digital camera and i have no idea, and would appreciate if anyone can recommend me a good one with brand name, model, pixels, zoom required especially for this purpose,so that i can these pics with you all.My budget is about $300 to $500.

Thanx

I use a Canon Powershot S2 IS (5 megapixel) with an add'l lens that provides 18X magnification.

There are newer ones (Canons) out that are being advertised in your price range.

Plan to buy a tripod, too. They're very inexpensive, but give a great deal more stability to the photos.

I understand Sony makes comparable ones, too, and probably Olympus & JVC.

I'm a dummy when it comes to cameras but was browsing and seen these. Zoom capabilities seem amazing, wonder about the photo quality however. I have bought several things from this seller and they are solid as can be. I have a friend that has a JVC and loves it. Cetainly is a good value as far as I can see with my limited experience in cameras. Hope an expert will view the item and give their opinion.

It looks pretty good, but my only recent experience has been with a Canon, so maybe someone else with a JVC can weigh in?
