Color, you want color........that would make it too easy.

Then the trees would be green and other things would be orange, blue, yellow, pink and who knows what other colors there might be.

Good grief Tim, color you say...what will you think of next?

Coils....ah ha, dryer hose? electrical cables? worms?

Slinkys?

Steel springs which hold the planet together?

What is the official explanation I wonder, the effects of wind and dust maybe?

Just hackin on yah Tim, just hackin on yah.

I have no idea what those coils could be, but they are very distinctly coils of some kind.

The one thing that does come to mind is the word fossil.

It would appear there are many fossils on Mars.

At one time millions of years back as I remember, :D the earth and all of the other planets in our solar system were actually moons. (All of them)

Orbiting a giant planet with (You name it) on it, when it exploded, sending millions of pieces of debris and stuff shooting into space, along with it's moon.

We are now finding things on mars, and if we could go to all the other planets we would find the same stuff, and if we dug deeper here we would find stuff we haven't even invented yet.

The explosion of the massive giant planet, threw it's moons out into an orbit around the sun, which is now our solar system.

Perhaps the BIG BANG

Jeff

If any of you ever get the time, I urge you to go to this site:

http://video.google.com/videosearch?client=safari&rls=en&q=Tom+Van+Flandern&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=7SWoSt3PIIHOsQOQsqm4BQ&sa=X&oi=video_result_group&ct=title&resnum=10#

Tom Van Flandern dedicated his entire career to new theories and discoveries in modern science. If you want to hear and see what he thought about MARS, there are clips at this site (22 minutes long) wherein he lectures about his theories of what Mars once was, and what those caved-in tunnel/worm thingies might be.
